Abscopal Therapeutics was founded on a bold scientific idea: that precisely targeting cancer-cell signaling could do more than inhibit tumor growth, it could help transform a localized therapeutic response into systemic anti-tumor immunity. Our founders brought together complementary expertise in structural biology, cancer biology, medicinal chemistry, and small-molecule drug discovery to pursue an underexploited signaling vulnerability at the intersection of tumor survival, DNA-damage response, and immune activation. We are developing precision medicines designed to make resistant tumors more responsive to treatment, enhance the activity of standard of care inhibitors and other targeted therapies, and potentially generate antitumor effects beyond the initially treated tumor.
